Septima "Obra" Reserva Malbec 2022

Reserva Séptima Obra Malbec is an exceptionally well-made wine, produced by Bodega Septima, from Lujan de Cuyo, in the Mendoza wine region of Argentina. This wine comes from vineyards located at an altitude of 1100 metres above sea level, which gives it unique and distinctive characteristics. Malbec, originally from south-western France, has found an ideal terroir in the foothills of Argentina's high mountains, where it is successfully cultivated, resulting in wines that have often achieved great renown. The combination of altitude, soil and climate in the Mendoza region allows Malbec to express its qualities to the full, resulting in intense and complex wines with remarkable structure and ageing capacity. 100% Malbec, Reserva Septima Obra is made from grapes harvested by hand in 300 kg boxes. After vinification, about 15% of the wine is aged in new French oak to give it additional complexity and structure. In the glass, Reserva Septima Obra Malbec has an intense and brilliant ruby red colour. On the nose, aromas of black pepper, spices, black tea and plums emerge, enriched by subtle notes of cinnamon and toast. In the mouth, it reveals a soft entrance, with present and subtle tannins.
