White wines - Emilia Romagna

Emilia-Romagna is a region in the north of Italy famous for its fascinating mediaeval cities, but not only. It offers an ancient tradition that gives a wide culinary choice and great wines, whether red wines, white wines or sparkling wines.

This region is one of the most extended in Italy: in the western side, in Emilia, the iconic Lambrusco was born, famous bubbly red wine, whereas in the eastern side of the region, the Romagna, still wines are the ones that are majorly produced.

Alongside the 18 DOC, 2 DOCG, and the 9 IGT, other popular wines from the region include Sangiovese and Gutturnio. On the other hand the most famous white wines from Emilia-Romagna include Albana, Pignoletto and Ortugo.
