  • Sensations It is full-bodied and succulent but at the same time soft, with rounded tannins and typical hints of fruit and ground black pepper.
  • Vinification For this variety, 30% of the stems are used in the fermentation process. The yeasts used are indigenous and no chemicals are added in the winemaking process, only a little sulphur dioxide before bottling. Maturation for 9 to 11 months and a further 3 months in bottle before release.

    "Cota 500" Syrah 2019
  • Cota 500 is an interesting red from Syrah, produced by Andes Plateau in a very special place. We are in Chile, at the foot of the Andes mountain range. Here the soils are alluvial in origin and allow excellent water filtration. We are in the Cachapoal Valley, characterised by high temperatures in the summer and abundant rainfall in the winter, perfect components for creating an excellent red wine. The Syrah grapes, selected and harvested by hand, are taken to the winery for vinification. About 30% of the bunches are processed with the stalks. The yeasts used to start fermentation are indigenous and no chemicals are used in the cellar, apart from a small amount of sulphur dioxide, used just before bottling. Finally, Cota 500 Syrah is aged in wood for just under a year. Full-bodied and succulent, this Andean red has a pleasantly smooth taste, with ripe tannins and typical fruity and ground black pepper hints. It is a red wine that cries out for pairing with grilled red meat dishes.
