Casalfarneto, an important producer in the Marche region, offers an exclusive Riserva version of Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi with this Crisio. A sumptuous white, to say the least. One of Italy's historic varietals for white wine making, Crisio is the result of careful selection of grapes from only 3 different vineyards. A lovely straw yellow colour with greenish veins, Verdicchio Riserva Crisio di Casalfarneto offers an articulate and evocative bouquet, with clear hints of white flowers, aromatic herbs, white-fleshed fruit and echoes of citrus. On the palate it is mineral, sapid, with light notes of tertiary scents. The harvest, carried out at three different times, has a significant impact on the aromatic profile of Casalfarneto's Verdicchio Riserva Crisio, as do the months of rest in barriques for part of the grapes. Delicious with all raw fish, intoxicating in convivial occasions. A white wine to show off when you want to raise the bar and offer your guests a glass out of the ordinary.
