Taurasi "Rue 333" DOCG 2018

Lovers of full-bodied red wines, get ready for a great experience. This is Rue 333, Taurasi DOCG, the top in terms of quality when it comes to reds made from Aglianico grapes, the noblest of the noble red grape varieties of our southern Italy. In this case we are talking about a wine produced from grapes harvested in the vineyards of Nativ, which are rooted in volcanic soils. The grapes are harvested in October, when the heat and sun of the summer season have allowed the bunches to reach perfect aromatic and phenolic ripeness. In the cellar, cold pre-maceration, followed by about 20 days' maceration of the skins. Fermentation with selected yeasts, followed by malolactic fermentation in French oak barriques. The same containers are then chosen for the maturation phase. This is a beautiful red wine with a brilliant ruby red colour. On the nose the intense notes of ripe fruit, prepare whoever takes the first sip. In the mouth you find a wine characterized by a nice harmonious and velvety taste, with the characteristic notes of Maiatica cherry, typical of the Agro Taurasino valley, and liquorice. A wine of good body and important structure, it requires a combination with red meats or game. It is also perfect with first courses based on meat sauces, such as pappardelle with wild boar ragout.
