L'Elegante is born in the hills surrounding the village of Cairanne, in the heart of the Rhône Valley. The winery belongs to Camille Cayran, part of the Cairanne cooperative. Its blend encompasses the best of the typical Rhône grape varieties: Grenache Noir (40%), the region's principal grape variety, which gives the wine body, warmth and intense aromas of red fruits, Syrah (20%), Carignan (20%) and Mourvèdre (20%). These grape varieties, harvested separately and then blended, give life to a harmonious wine, capable of combining power and finesse. L'Elegante has an intense and brilliant ruby red colour in the glass. The nose is generous, with aromas of wild berries, particularly blueberries and raspberries, followed by spicy notes of black pepper and liquorice. On the palate, it is full and enveloping, with well-present but silky tannins. Thanks to its structure, L'Elegante pairs well with savoury and flavourful meat dishes. In addition to stews and braised meats, it goes well with roasts and aged cheeses.
