  • Spumantizzato da MIONETTO S.P.A. / Valdobbiadene

Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Rive di Santo Stefano
  • Let us start with the concept of Rive, which is probably not known to many enthusiasts. The Rive, in the world of quality Prosecco, represent hillside vineyards, particularly suited for exposure and soil. From here, thanks to a kind of heroic viticulture, the Valdobbiadene producers obtain the grapes destined for their best wines. The one proposed here belongs to the Mionetto Luxury Collection line and is made with grapes from the 'Rive di Santo Stefano'. Here the steep vineyards are rigorously tended and harvested by hand. Glera in purity, this elegant sparkling wine millesimato (i.e. produced only with wines from a single vintage) comes from a soft pressing of the grapes, followed by a careful white vinification and sparkling according to the Charmat method. Straw yellow in colour accompanied by slight greenish reflections, this Valdobbiadene Brut is marked by a fine and persistent perlage. The nose appears sumptuous and exuberant, with aromas reminiscent of green apple and pear, intense citrus and white flower notes. On the palate, however, it is pleasantly fresh and savoury, with a moderate sweetness due to the low residual sugar.

Mionetto was founded in 1887 by the love and passion for the land and for working in the cellar of the family's founder, Francesco Mionetto. The company is located on the hills of Valdobbiadene, in the heart of the historical Prosecco production area, immersed in a unique landscape, recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here Mionetto has been able, over more than a century of history, to interpret its territory of origin and become one of the most representative Italian sparkling wine producers on the international scene. Well-known and appreciated in Italy, over the years Mionetto has also established itself as an international brand thanks to its modern and innovative imprint. Constant attention to quality, at every stage of the production process. This, combined with continuous innovation and unmistakable style, are the strengths of the fine house from Veneto. Since 2008, the winery has been part of the Henkell-Freixenet Group, one of the world's largest producers of sparkling wines.
