  • Sensations Ruby red color. On the nose: red fruits (cherries, red berries), herbs and pepper. On the palate: zinfandel imparts powerful red fruit character, provides soft tannins and a sweet aftertaste; cabernet sauvignon adds pepper. Sangiovese brings the juiciness, Syrah brings pulp. Drops of petite Syrah give the wine a hint of "Old World" spiciness.
  • Vinification Napa Valley, California. Vinification: after fermentation, the wine ages for 16 months in French and American oak and Hungarian barrels, 25% of which are new.

    "Native Son" Napa County 2019
  • Native Son by Kuleto Estate is a blend composed of Zinfandel, Malbec, Petite Syrah, Merlot and Tempranillo. Made with grapes from Napa Valley, California, it comes from careful vinification of all separate varieties. After racking, and after making up the blend, the wine is left to mature in French, American and Slavonian oak barrels for a period of no less than 16 months. The result is a pleasantly rich wine, characterized by a ruby red color. On the nose, red fruits, particularly cherries, but a pleasant vegetal and freshly ground pepper sensation. In the mouth, Zinfandel gives the wine a strongly fruity character, with ripe tannins and a long soft finish.

    Located at the eastern end of the Napa Valley, in the hills above Lake Hennessey and the town of Rutherford, this extraordinary estate has more than 80 vineyards, carved out of different soils, with particular exposures and very different microclimates. With this rich and diverse palette of environments, Kuleto Estate derives a portfolio of exceptional wines. The company's focus is precisely on the enhancement of different terroirs. An ambitious goal that winemaker Giovanni Verdejo has been passionately pursuing since 2002, the year he started working for the company. The Napa area, after all, is considered one of the best wine regions in the world, particularly for the production of Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel and Chardonnay.
