Romagna DOC, Sangiovese Superiore. A fresh, powerful and structured red wine. A wine full of fruit and softness proposed here by Podere La Berta. Pure Sangiovese, of course, from the estate vineyards in Brisighella. Plants of 10 years of age on average, which are harvested by hand when the bunches have reached perfect ripeness. The vinification, which is super careful, involves alcoholic fermentation and malolactic conversion. Then, after racking, the wine is left to mature in stainless steel and, after bottling, left to rest in the cellar for at least 3 months. Bright ruby red in colour, this Sangiovese Romagnolo has typical aromas of small red and black fruits, with hints of spices, mineral accents and a light toasted note. In the mouth it is pleasantly fresh, enveloping and lively. The tannins are soft and ripe, while the finish is decidedly persistent. A straightforward and sincere wine, this Sangiovese Superiore is extremely versatile on the table. Perfect with red meats, especially if grilled, it is the wine that can also be served with homemade rustic pizza.
