Ribolla Gialla Colli Orientali Friuli DOC 2022

We are in one of the places known throughout the world for the quality of its white wines. We are in Friuli, in the Colli Orientali DOC to be precise. But that's not all. Here we are in the presence of a bottle produced from a grape variety, Ribolla Gialla, which over the years has attracted the sympathy of millions of wine lovers around the world. And we are in the presence of a bottle produced by Tenuta Bastianich, one of the most interesting wineries on the scene. From 15-25 year old vineyards, harvested by hand, the grapes are carefully selected before fermentation, which takes place in stainless steel tanks. As in stainless steel tanks, the wine matures for 6 months on fine lees. All this is to allow the vine to express its typical fresh personality to the full. Intense straw yellow, on the nose this white wine expresses fruity and floral notes, with a profile that stands out for its typicality. Pineapple, grapefruit and yellow plum are just some of the scents that can be clearly perceived. In the mouth, it is very fresh and persistent, with a nice acidity and a clear and recognisable minerality. An ideal glass to accompany fried fish, seafood or sushi.
