Ribolla Gialla Collio DOC - Pighin

"Collio" is equal to her majesty Ribolla, it’s that simple! An autochthonous grape par excellence, indissolubly linked with the local terroir, characterized by the "ponca", soil formed by marly and calcareous rocks, and which is widespread here. The combination of vine and terroir gives wines with good structure and an unmistakable aroma.

In the heart of Friuli Venezia Giulia, you can find Azienda Agricola Pighin: a well-known brand, whose products are characterized by reliability and an excellent relationship between quality and final price. Today, under the control of Fernando Pighin, his wife and children, the estate is run with great passion and enthusiasm. Ribolla Gialla Collio DOC interprets in a truly classic way all that can be expected from this grape variety: a straw-yellow colour and a flavourful mouthfeel, while the nose clearly recalls notes of ripe pear. An easy-to-pair wine that everyone will like not only for its drinkability, but also for its verve, which makes it easily recognizable.

  • Sensations Straw yellow, with an excellent nose, in which ripe pear predominates. The mouthfeel is sweet and tasty
  • Vinification After manual harvesting, the grapes are destemmed and pressed at a pressure of 0.6 bar; the must is cold decanted overnight and, after the first racking, the yeasts are added and fermentation starts, which lasts on average 10/12 days at a temperature of 14/18 degrees. The wine remains still in stainless steel tanks until mid-March and is then bottled
