San Floriano del Collio is one of those hidden corners of Friuli that bring serenity to those fortunate enough to know it. It was in this place that a young couple started their business in 1972. Mariano and Loredana planted their first vineyard, destined over the course of years to become the cornerstone of what is now a beautiful family business with around 30 hectares of vineyards in the Collio and Friuli Isonzo DOC areas. Today the two parents are joined by their children Walter and Luana. Most of the wines produced, as tradition dictates, are the offspring of white grape varieties, grown in vineyards at an altitude of between 150 and 250 metres above sea level. The Friuli Isonzo vineyards, on the other hand, are located in the flat area to the left of the river. While modern oenological practices are de rigueur in the cellar, the quality of Ascevi Luwa wines originates in the countryside. Because that is where wine is born. And good country makes good wine.
