Wherever you go in the world, there is one wine that is always a great success. We are talking about Pinot Grigio, called "the cosmopolitan" by the managers of the Muri-Gries winery. After all, this is the variety most widely grown in South Tyrol, and here it takes on rather decisive traits. Eclectic wine that gets everyone on the same page. In the version offered by the South Tyrolean winery, the grapes come from vineyards in Bolzano and Appiano that are located at an altitude of 260 to 500 meters, with good exposure and a microclimate strongly influenced by significant temperature swings between day and night. Vinified in stainless steel, simple but precise, this white presents itself in the glass with a beautiful straw-yellow color with greenish highlights. The heady bouquet recalls fresh fruit, ripe Williams pears, black tea and herbs such as mint and lemon balm. In the mouth it is powerful, structured and full-bodied, with a lingering, slightly bitter finish. Excellent with fancy dishes such as vegetable lasagna and fresh goat cheese.
