Pinot Bianco Collio DOC 2022

We are in the heart of Collio. In the vineyards of the Felluga family's Russiz Superiore estate in Capriva del Friuli. Here the Pinot Bianco grapes destined for the production of this wine are cultivated and harvested when fully ripe. A hilly environment, with soils rich in minerals and a beneficial temperature range that favours the birth of fresh, mineral wines. After harvesting by hand, the grapes are separated from the stalks. The juice and pulp undergo cold maceration, then a gentle pressing that allows separation from the skins. 20% of the must is fermented in oak barrels, the remaining 80% in steel tanks. The wine is then left to rest for about six months on the lees and a few months in the bottle. Straw-yellow colour. The nose reveals an intense aroma with fruity and floral notes. In particular, clear hints of ripe peach, apple, white-fleshed fruit, wild flowers and broom stand out. In the mouth, it is full and elegant, with a perfect correspondence to what was previously perceived. Excellent as an aperitif, this Friulian white is perfect with delicate fish dishes. Excellent, even with freshwater fish.
