  • Sensations Greenish yellow colour. The bouquet, characterised by the scent of wild flowers, is pleasant and delicate. On the nose typical notes of Golden apple and Kaiser pear blend with citrus notes. On the nose, great freshness typical of the variety and an almost brackish savouriness that goes hand in hand with a slight minerality. The citrus notes return and close with an elegant acidity.
  • Vinification After harvesting, the grapes are macerated for about 14 hours at a temperature of 10/12°C in special containers, protected from oxygen with innovative systems by recycling their own fermentation carbon dioxide, in order to reduce the intake of antioxidants. Approximately 60% of the wine matures in large 20/27 HL wooden barrels and 5 HL tonneaux, the remainder in steel containers.

  • Adelchi is a DOC Collio white wine, 100% Ribolla Gialla, produced by Venica & Venica, a beautiful family-run company located in the heart of the Collio region of Friuli. Dedicated by Giani and Giorgio Venica to their father Adelchi, this wine represents the continuity of tradition and oenological passion that binds different generations. Venica & Venica's vineyards are located in the heart of the denomination, an area characterised by sun-kissed hills and a constant breeze that favours the perfect ripening of the grapes. The soil, rich in minerals, gives the wine its characteristic sapidity and minerality. Vinification follows a careful and meticulous process. The grapes, harvested by hand at the right degree of ripeness, are macerated for about 14 hours at a controlled temperature. At the end of alcoholic fermentation, part of the wine matures in large wooden barrels, giving it complexity and structure, while the remainder matures in stainless steel to preserve the freshness and liveliness of the aromas. In the glass, L'Adelchi has a brilliant greenish yellow colour. The nose reveals a rich and refined bouquet. On the nose, scents of wild flowers intertwine with notes of Golden apple, Kaiser pear and citrus fruits, creating a delicate and inviting harmony. In the mouth, however, it conquers with its lively freshness, mineral savouriness and aromatic persistence. Citrus and white fruit chase each other in a game of balance, giving an elegant and persistent finish. Its freshness makes it ideal with fish and shellfish starters, while its mineral savouriness enhances the flavours of white meats and grilled vegetables. Also excellent with fresh cheeses and light first courses.

We are located a few kilometres from the Slovenian border where, for almost a century, wine growing has been an art handed down from generation to generation. Since its founding in 1930, the Venica family has in fact cultivated the vineyards with love and dedication, enhancing their peculiarities and creating wines that encapsulate the essence of Collio. The climate here is cool-temperate, mitigated by sea breezes and protected by the Julian Alps. The soils are marly-calcareous, rich in minerals, and create an ideal terroir for growing white grapes. In particular, Ribolla Gialla, the undisputed queen of the area, which expresses itself here with elegance and finesse, offering floral and fruity notes. Then there is Malvasia Istriana, Verduzzo and, of course, Friulano. There are also the typical international varieties, such as Chardonnay, Pinot, Bianco and Grigio, and the aromatic Traminer and Sauvignon Blanc. In the countryside, Venica & Venica practices environmentally friendly viticulture. In fact, the company is committed to sustainable vineyard management, using innovative agronomic techniques and limiting environmental impact to a minimum.
