Muscat AOC Alsace 2021

This Muscat is not a sweet wine (as many might expect). It is actually a pleasantly dry and fruity wine, lively and rich in aromas. We are talking about Hugel's Muscat Aoc Alsace. This wine is made from grapes from two individual estate plots, including one located in Schoenenbourg and planted with Muscat d'Alsace. Harvesting takes place exclusively to ensure perfectly healthy grapes and good natural levels of acidity. Once in the cellar, the grapes are destemmed and placed in the press. There they are left to macerate until the following morning. This is followed by pressing and fermentation of the cleaned must. After processing, the wine is decanted once before natural clarification during the winter. The following spring, the wine meets the bottle and is ready to make many enthusiasts around the world happy.Fresh and lively crystal-clear yellow in colour with light green hues, the nose is wonderfully dense, with a beautiful, typical Muscat aroma. Fine, pleasantly fruity and floral, it is pleasantly dry and fresh in the mouth. A wine with a good structure, characterised by a beautiful persistent finish, it should be drunk in the first few years after the harvest. Suitable as an aperitif, it also goes well with a delicate fish menu.
