Four generations of passion for wine, in the heart of Collio Goriziano. This is Venica & Venica. We are located just a few kilometres from the Slovenian border where, for almost a century, viticulture has been an art handed down from generation to generation. Since its founding in 1930, the Venica family has in fact cultivated the vineyards with love and dedication, enhancing their peculiarities and creating wines that encapsulate the essence of Collio. The climate here is cool-temperate, mitigated by sea breezes and protected by the Julian Alps. The soils are marly-calcareous, rich in minerals, and create an ideal terroir for growing white grapes. In particular, Ribolla Gialla, the undisputed queen of the area, which expresses itself here with elegance and finesse, offering floral and fruity notes. Then there is Malvasia Istriana, Verduzzo and, of course, Friulano. There are also the typical international varieties, such as Chardonnay, Pinot, Bianco and Grigio, and the aromatic Traminer and Sauvignon Blanc. In the countryside, Venica & Venica practices environmentally friendly viticulture. In fact, the company is committed to sustainable vineyard management, using innovative agronomic techniques and limiting environmental impact to a minimum.
