Prosecco DOC "Cuvée I Magredi" Extra Dry - Valdo

The one presented here is a classic Prosecco DOC, with an extra gear. Cuvée I Magredi, in fact, represents an important supply chain project by Valdo Spumanti. Created to give a strong territorial imprint to the sparkling wine, this Prosecco DOC is made from grapes entirely harvested and vinified by the I Magredi winery and then made into sparkling wine in the Valdo cellars in Valdobbiadene. It is therefore an encounter between a unique territory for its characteristics, that of Friuli Grave DOC, where the I Magredi winery is located, and the expertise and tradition of sparkling wine-making in Valdo. A sparkling wine with a strong personality, its distinctive label recalls the iconic circular vineyard at the I Magredi winery. Bright straw yellow with greenish reflections, the nose reveals a very distinctive, typically fruity and floral bouquet, with hints of golden apples and white flowers. In the mouth, however, it is delicate, harmonious and pleasant, with elegant fruity notes and a slightly savoury aftertaste. Ideal as an aperitif, it is an excellent accompaniment to hors d'oeuvres and delicate first courses, particularly those based on Mediterranean fish.

The history of Valdo is closely linked to that of the Bolla family, made up of passion and entrepreneurial spirit. A history that coincides to a large extent with that of the evolution of Prosecco and the development of the splendid territory where it is produced. It all started with an intuition of Abele, grandfather of Valdo's founder, Sergio Bolla. It was 1883 and Abele, then owner of an inn, which still exists in Soave, decided to start producing still wines to supply the best establishments in Venice and Milan. It was such a great success that in 1926 a group of enterprising entrepreneurs from Valdobbiadene decided to join forces, creating the "Società Anonima Vini Superiori", a company mainly dedicated to making Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore and Cartizze sparkling wine. In 1938, Sergio Bolla, Albano's son, acquired the Società Anonima Vini Superiori, which thus became the property of the Bolla family. From then on, its history was studded with success and satisfaction. In 1941, the company changed its name to Valdo. In 2002 the new production centre was inaugurated and shortly afterwards the company expanded outside Italy, creating two sister companies, one in Germany and one in the United States. Today Valdo is a colossus, in the best sense of the word. A company capable of producing excellent wines, carrying the good name of Made in Italy throughout the world.
