Le Blanc D'Aiguilhe 2022

A dry and fine white wine, Le Blanc d'Aiguilhe is produced by Château d'Aiguilhe. We are in the heart of the renowned Bordeaux wine region, where red wines from Cabernet and Merlot sit alongside white and sweet wines from varieties such as Sauvignon and Sémillon. But let us proceed in order. This wine is the child of a unique terroir, characterised by a limestone-clay soil rich in minerals. The grape variety, Sauvignon Blanc, gives the wine a fresh, aromatic and elegant character. Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks followed by a period of ageing on the fine lees, enhancing the aromatic qualities of the wine. The result? In the glass, this Blanc d'Aiguilhe has a beautiful, bright golden yellow colour. On the nose, an aromatic and elegant bouquet, with notes of lemon, green apple, lime leaf and elderflower. In the mouth, however, it wins you over with its freshness and balance. The pleasant acidity gives the wine liveliness and persistence. A versatile white, this Sauvignon Blanc can be served as an aperitif. On the table, it goes well with light and tasty dishes, also from ethnic cuisines. Try it with wok-fried vegetables, fish dishes, asparagus and salads.
