Sauvignon Vigna 'Castel Ringberg' Alto Adige DOC 2022

Ringberg Castle, built by the Habsburg dynasty in 1620, towers over Lake Kaltern and is surrounded by the undulating greenery of its vineyards. Its "vineyard" represents an additional geographical mention. A single vineyard, strictly defined and limited. Special geological characteristics, combined with a breezy microclimate, result in mineral wines of great elegance and refinement. Like this Sauvignon, proposed by Elena Walch, partly fermented in steel tanks and partly in barriques and large oak casks. Awarded by the strictest wine critics, this mountain white wine has a beautiful bright yellow colour with slightly green reflections. The nose is delicate and inviting, with a bouquet characterised by floral and alpine herb notes and a hint of ripe gooseberries. On the palate it is complex and fruity, beautifully structured and extremely elegant and mineral. A simply incredible wine in terms of richness and character. A white wine to pair with important meat or fish dishes. Excellent with seafood and shellfish, it also goes well with freshwater fish.
