"Saurus Select" Sauvignon Blanc

According to Argentine standards, the Bodega Familia Schroeder's fifty or so hectares of vineyards are almost a small estate. And, compared to the other great South American Bodegas, this interesting farm of San Patricio del Chañar also has another uniqueness. In fact, it is not located in the Mendoza region, where most of Argentina's wineries are, but in arid Patagonia, an extremely unusual region, decidedly to the south of the country, where viticulture is becoming increasingly interesting. Bodega Familia Schroeder processes Malbec, in large part, but also Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Franc, Chardonnay, Sauvignon and Torrontès. The latter is among the most interesting white grape varieties in Argentina. The particularity of the Cantina is that it was built on a hillside. This allows the winemakers to take full advantage of the force of gravity, limiting the use of pumps to move the wine. These are details, let's be clear, but they are important to understand the care and passion that is put into every label proposed.
