"Aristos" Sauvignon Alto Adige DOC

Sommeliers describe the aroma of Sauvignon, when it is well made, as vegetal and herbaceous. Some people go so far as to recognize tomato leaf and some, instead, describe its peculiar pungent scent as "cat pee". Whatever descriptor is used, what is certain is that this grape variety never leaves one completely indifferent. Especially when, as in this Aristos from Cantina Valle Isarco, the grapes are brought out to the fullest thanks to a skilful winemaking technique in the cellar. The result is a wine of great pleasure, aromatic but not cloying, which in the glass fascinates with its straw yellow colour with fresh greenish nuances. The nose is broad and deep at the same time. With notes of wild herbs, reminiscent of the mountains, such as lily of the valley and nettle, then closing with a very fresh touch of citrus. The taste is pleasantly smooth, well balanced thanks to an acidity that is present but not excessively insistent. A long, persistent and very satisfying wine.
