Foras Cannonau di Sardegna DOC - Sardus Pater

Sardus Pater’s Foras grapes are harvested in the last week of September. After careful selection of the bunches of grapes and soft pressing, fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature. Refinement in bottle for 6 months follows.

Cantina Sardus Pater was established in 1949 as a cooperative. Over the years the production has tried to enhance all the vines of the area including Cannonau. The grapes come from vineyards located in the territory of Sulcis overlooking the island of Sant'Antioco. Each bottle produced is the result of a wise selection of grapes and careful vinification, to guarantee the consumer a top-quality wine.

  • Sensations The olfactory profile is elegant with aromas of red fruit, wild strawberries, herbs with a spicy note.The taste is rich and warm, with soft tannins and moderate freshness. Long and persistent finish.
  • Vinification Manual harvesting is followed by delicate processing to maintain the very high quality of the grapes during vinification. After the harvest, fermentation takes place in steel tanks at 24-26 ?C for about 10 days. The wine ages 12 months in cement and after bottling.
