"Del Frate" Alpi Retiche IGT 2021

Del Frate is a white wine produced from Sauvignon Blanc grapes from the family's vineyards in the municipalities of Teglio and Bianzone. Classified as Alpi Retiche IGT, the grapes from which it is produced are harvested and stored for a few days in a cool environment to enhance their aromatic richness. After crushing, the must is kept for a few days at a temperature of 5°C to decant, and then half is put into small oak barrels and half into steel for the fermentation phase. The wine then remains on the lees until March, after which it is racked and bottled. Del Frate has an intense golden yellow colour. Its bouquet is reminiscent of peppers, apricots and tropical fruits, perfectly integrated in the wood. The palate is dense, suave and full-bodied. It pleasantly surprises with its persistence. Like all vigorous white wines, Del Frate goes well with hors d'oeuvres, risottos and medium-aged cheeses.
