Aula Macebeo Sauvignon Blanc 2022

A very classy white, made from a grape variety, Macabeo, that is often used as a base for the delicious Cava, the bubbles made in Spain, but which in this case is offered in a firm and very enjoyable version. With it is Sauvignon Blanc, used to bring just the right amount of aromatics to a wine made to be pandering to the point. Aula is one of the brands by the large Grupo Coviñas. Its wines are characterized by a clearly recognizable stylistic signature and a distinctly surprising cleanliness. Straw yellow with faint greenish reflections, the bouquet of this interesting white clearly recalls fresh grass and citrus sensations. The same sensation of freshness is then also found on tasting, where the pleasant aromaticity of Sauvignon manages to perfectly balance the natural freshness of Macabeo. An extremely versatile wine, it can accompany a simple aperitif or a fish-based first course. Spaghetti allo scoglio, or with urchins, with this Spanish white simply go "to perfection."
