Chandon Garden Spritz

There are many ways to make sparkling wine, some easier and quicker, others requiring time and energy. At Chandon they chose to follow this second path, resulting in sparkling wines of quality and character. Each batch, made from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Semillon grapes, is processed using the long Charmat technique. The maturation phase in autoclaves, therefore, in this case lasts as long as 12 months. This results in a base with a rich and creamy character, rich in flavor. Not surprisingly, the Chandon Brut base wine was awarded Best Argentine Sparkling Wine in 2020 at the CSWWC competition. Then, only the best local ingredients are used to develop the Garden Spritz recipe. The base wine is blended with an excellent homemade bitter-orange liqueur from a secret recipe with natural extracts of orange peels, herbs and a mix of spices. No artificial flavoring or coloring is added. The result is a delicious, high-quality, dry cuvée, the result of more than 64 attempts and 4 years of experimentation to find the perfect balance between sparkling wine and liqueur. Between bitterness and sweetness. But so many efforts have paid off.
