"Erema" Cannonau di Sardegna DOC 2022

Cannonau di Sardegna DOC, Èrema is the youngest red wine from the Siddùra winery, characterised by a lively freshness and aromas of small berries from the undergrowth. 100% Cannonau, the vineyards are located in Gallura, one of the most fascinating areas of Sardinia. Here the soils are sandy and calcareous, with good exposures and an altitude ranging between 200 and 300 metres above sea level. These are simply perfect conditions for producing quality grapes. The grapes are harvested by hand in small baskets. Once in the winery, they are immediately destemmed and then left to macerate for 10-15 days in temperature-controlled steel tanks. After alcoholic fermentation, the wine continues its maturation period in contact with the yeasts, using the 'sur lies' technique. A good wine even today, it has a discrete evolutionary capacity. In the cellar, well stored, it can safely mature for up to 5 years. Brilliant red colour with violet hues, the nose is fine and intense, with delicate notes of small fruits, cherries and Mediterranean scrub. In the mouth, however, it is pleasantly fresh and fruity. Characterised by a good balance between structure and fruit. Its softness and great drinkability make Èrema a perfect match for traditional Sardinian dishes.
