    Sancerre Blanc AOC 2020
  • The Loire area is famous for the finesse of its white wines, particularly those produced from Sauvignon Blanc grapes in the commune of Sancerre. Like the one proposed here by Domaine David Sautereau, a dry white wine, 100% Sauvignon Blanc, produced from grapes grown on different types of soils in the area. In this case, fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks, at the end of which complete malolactic conversion also takes place. For ageing, finally, neutral, steel containers are used to enhance the goodness of the initial fruit. In the glass, the wine is a beautiful light yellow colour with greenish reflections. On the nose, the bouquet is fragrant and distinctly reminiscent of white flowers and exotic fruits. In the mouth, then, this Sancerre is particularly appreciated for its balance and great elegance. For its structure and freshness, this Sancerre Blanc signed Domaine David Sautereau goes well with first and second courses based on fish, in particular with shellfish.

    David Sautereau represents the tenth generation of vignérons and his estate has 7 hectares in the communes of Crézancy, Bué and Sancerre, where he produces Sancerre in Blanc, Rouge and Rosé versions. We are in the heart of the Loire Sancerre, about two hours' drive from Paris. Vines have been cultivated here since ancient times. The peculiarity of the estate is that it can count on a great variety of soils, each capable of giving the wine different and unique nuances.
