The Marlborough region, located at the north-eastern tip of New Zealand's South Island, is renowned for its warm, temperate climate and sandy, loamy soils. These factors, combined with the sea breeze that characterises the area, create an ideal environment for the cultivation of Sauvignon Blanc, which finds a perfect expression of freshness and aromaticity here. Rapaura Classic Sauvignon Blanc, in particular, presents itself in the glass with a beautiful bright straw yellow colour. On the nose, it reveals an intense and aromatic bouquet, dominated by notes of passion fruit, tropical fruit and ripe citrus fruits. In the mouth, however, the wine is fresh and lively, with a pleasant acidity that perfectly balances the softness of the fruit. The finish is persistent and leaves a pleasant mouth watering sensation. A versatile wine, it goes well with a wide variety of dishes. Ideal with fish dishes, fresh cheeses and salads. Its freshness also makes it an excellent aperitif or a wine to accompany a light dinner. It should be drunk young, within 3 years of harvest. However, if stored correctly, it can evolve and acquire complexity over time.
