This edition is labeled under the Sicilia DOC (instead of the Sicilia Contea di Sclafani subzone). No matter, this remains one of the benchmark white wines from the heart of the Mediterranean. The unoaked 2017 Sicilia Nozze d’Oro Tenuta Regaleali is a beautiful wine with a straight and linear style that hits the palate with just the right intensity and in just the right parts of the mouth. Sicilian stone fruit (like the orange fruit nespole, or loquat) and quince are followed by ash and crushed stone. The wine shows intensity and focus. The blend is 76% Inzolia and 24% Sauvignon Blanc (a Tasca clone). Some 40,000 bottles were made.
2019 - 2024

This is the case of Count Giuseppe Tasca who created this Nozze D’Oro in 1984, to celebrate half a century of life at the side of his beloved Franca. A marriage of love, the one between the Count and the Countess, which recalls that between the Inzolia and Sauvignon, protagonists of this innovative blend. A cut, as they say in the jargon, still extraordinarily current. The Inzolia, in fact, gives structure and fullness to the wine. The Sauvignon adds pleasant aromatic notes and above all a hint of acidity that makes it age for a really long time. Try it, to believe it!
