Fior di Luna is not the usual Ligurian white. One glance at its data sheet is enough to understand this. It comes from a blend of three different grape varieties. Vermentino, obviously, but also Albarola and Greco. It becomes even more interesting when you discover that these grapes do not come from simple vineyards, even though they are well suited and masterfully managed. They are all historic plots with plants that have an average age of at least 35 years. Can you imagine how deep their roots might be? How far do they go to get the nourishment they need to bring their few bunches to maturity? The result is a beautiful pale straw yellow colour in the glass with greenish reflections.The aromas are particularly fine and delicate, with citrus and floral scents that bring to mind hawthorn and elderberry. In the mouth, finally, it is fresh, savoury, with a sip dominated by the same persuasive aromatic notes perceived by the nose.
