A delicious vermentino with aromas and flavors of sliced pears, cooked apples, stone and slate. Medium body, creamy texture and a flavorful finish. Drink now.
Tua Rita's vineyards are located in the upper Maremma, in the area of the so-called Colline Metallifere. This is where the Vermentino grapes used for this Tuscan IGT, Perlato del Bosco, come from. This label was first launched in 1992 and for the last thirty years has represented one of the best interpretations of the most popular white grape variety in the Mediterranean basin. Harvested by hand in boxes, the vineyards from which this Vermentino comes are managed according to the principles of integrated pest management. In the cellar, the grapes are carefully processed to best preserve the rich aromatic heritage, thanks to a 100% steel processing, until the moment of meeting the bottle. Fresh and crisp, this Vermentino enjoys a natural acidity that makes it perfect for more than one pairing. Excellent as an aperitif, it goes well with delicate fish dishes. From soups to stewed fish
When Rita and Virgilio decided to buy what was to become the Tua Rita winery in 1984, the land and buildings were to be just the setting for a place where they could live in contact with nature and cultivate their land. But the unstoppable drive of the passion for wine changed things. And from the original two hectares, cultivated from the outset with the utmost rigour, in the space of less than 40 years the hectares under vine have grown to 30. Quite a leap for a company that at the beginning was considered one of the first Italian companies to be built on the "vin de garage" model. We are in a happy corner of Tuscany, between the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Metalliferous Hills, in the Val di Cornia. The winery, enlarged and completely overhauled between 2000 and 2002 to support a high-profile production, now boasts an annual output of around 220,000 bottles.
