"Massovivo Ammiraglia" Vermentino IGT - Frescobaldi

The winery is located in Magliano in Tuscany, in the heart of Maremma. A fascinating area that perfectly combines hills and sea. And it is thanks to this lucky encounter that wines like this Massovivo, a pure Vermentino, are born. In the glass, it is a beautiful straw yellow colour with greenish reflections. The nose immediately reveals its Mediterranean origin, thanks to an ample bouquet that perfectly combines balsamic notes of wild herbs with hints of fresh fruit and citrus fruits and a pleasant mineral touch that characterizes the finish. The mouthfeel is delicate, with an evident hint of fresh fruit and a long, pleasant finish. It's hard to imagine a more suitable wine to make a pleasant evening unforgettable.

Thirty generations and over 700 years of history. With these two "business cards", the Frescobaldi winery presents itself on markets around the world as an absolute protagonist, with the objective of becoming the most prestigious Tuscan wine producer. Today the company can count on an immense area of vineyards. We are talking about more than 1000 hectares, scattered around the most interesting wine areas of the region. The annual production is around seven million bottles and includes all the most important appellations, from Chianti to Pomino, passing through Montalcino and Maremma. Traditional varieties are grown in each area, thanks to perfect knowledge of the specific terroirs. Never more than in this case... experience really does make a difference.

  • Sensations Massovivo 2018 immediately shows an unsurpassed delicacy, with a straw yellow colour and light green reflections. The nose is equally delicate, its opening elegantly floral and citrusy; with time these scents give way to notes of ripe white flesh fruit. On the finish, Mediterranean scrub and sage enrich the bouquet. It envelops the palate harmoniously, characterizing itself with its great sapidity and an extreme freshness. Excellent persistence and taste-olfactory correspondence.
  • Vinification Once harvested, the grapes are quickly transported to the winery. Here the first step of the production phase is the soft and delicate pressing. Subsequently, the musts obtained undergo a cold static decantation for about 12 hours, which imparts even more finesse and elegance. Slow fermentation takes place at controlled temperature in steel tanks After ageing in steel on its fine lees and a further period in the bottle, Massovivo 2018 is ready to amaze us.
