"Gioia Rosa" Rosato Puglia IGT 2022

A truly apt stylistic choice, that of Terrecarsiche1939, which for its Rosato Gioia Rosa chooses a transparent bottle, right from the capsule. This makes it possible to immediately appreciate the quality of the colour of this Apulian wine, the result of a wise combination of Primitivo and Aleatico, vines that are 'the expression of a loving land', as we read on the website of the Bari-based company. Murgia IGT, Gioia Rosa represents the 'summary' of Apulia that, as we read on the winery's website, 'reaches the heart through taste'. Grapes from the low hills of the Murgia Barese, here the soils are clayey and the vines are still trained with the classic Apulian alberello system that guarantees a low yield, around 80 quintals per hectare, but great concentration and quality. Harvesting begins in mid-September. After the harvest, the grapes are brought to the cellar to begin the fermentation phase at a controlled temperature, with a brief maceration that allows the right amount of pink to be extracted. In the glass, in fact, Gioia Rosa is a beautiful pink colour with violet reflections. The nose impresses with the quality of its floral bouquet, with notes of strawberry and cherry. In the mouth it is savoury, rightly acidulous and full. Perfect companion for an afternoon snack or with fish dishes and fresh cheeses.
