    "Armentino" Salento IGT 2021
  • Armentino represents the fifth essence of Apulia. A blend of Negroamaro and Primitivo in equal parts, coming from old vineyards with plants that reach 50 years of age. Obviously plants that produce little, but well, grown with the traditional system of the Apulian gobelet. An ancient method that is often abandoned because of the great commitment it requires, given that every process, every treatment in a vineyard cultivated with this system must necessarily be done by hand. No compromises. Armentino is a wine that is easy to define as enjoyable, due to its great elegance and concentration of aromas and flavours. On the nose, in particular, the bouquet has something overripe, almost dense. Plum and sour cherry are recognizable, clean and well-defined. The mouthfeel turns out to be a powerful but pleasant red to drink at the same time. An elegant wine with a long, pleasant finish.

    The protection of the territory, of its beauty and richness, of the traditions that have their origins far back in time, of the traditional form of gobelet vine-training, so tiring to work but capable of giving wines with a unique character. The ancient dry stone walls that for centuries have delimited the fields and the vines that sink their roots into a red soil, rich in precious micro elements.
