    "Tre Filari" Salento IGP Primitivo 2021
  • Originating in Apulia, Primitivo is one of the best known and most cultivated vines in Italy, also known to be a close relative of the Zinfandel vine, grown mainly in the United States. It adapts well to the hot and dry climate of the region and in this environment can easily reach a good sugar ripening. This is why it is capable of producing full-bodied, intense and richly coloured wines. Vinified in purity, as in the case of Tre Filari, Salento IGP by Cantina Sampietrana, it brings out its specific characteristics. In this case, then, the winery technicians subject it to a maturation period of about 8 months in oak barrels, increasing its complexity and pleasantness. In the glass it has a beautiful, intense ruby red colour with hints of jam and berries, vanilla and a light note of spice. In the mouth it is elegant, warm, soft and full. This wine pairs well with a wide variety of dishes, such as roasts, mature cheeses and mushroom dishes. Its structure and beautiful intensity allow it, without doubt, to accompany any dish rich in flavour.

    More than half a century of history! "We have always produced our wine directly in our cellar, only from grapes from our own vineyards, mostly Apulian 'alberelli' (small trees) over 50 years old, cared for and cultivated with love and dedication. The ultimate in authenticity, we might add, with an eye to the things that really count. Such as sustainable practices in the countryside, with integrated or organic farming, and the use of alternative energies in the cellar. All this in a beautiful social reality located in San Pietro Vernotico, in the province of Brindisi. The wines on offer are the fruit of the processing of native varieties such as Negroamaro, Primitivo and Malvasia. With them also the ancient Susumaniello, Aglianico, Sangiovese, Montepulciano, Lambrusco, Fiano and Verdeca. In addition to the 'international' Syrah, Cabernet, Merlot and Chardonnay that here, in the heart of our South, know how to give life to products of great pleasantness and character.
