Primitivo di Manduria DOP Notte Rossa

Say Puglia and think Primitivo. Say Primitivo and you can't help but think of the rich Primitivo di Manduria, the very icon of Apulian viticulture. Notte Rossa offers it in a particularly elegant guise, thanks to the refinement in French and American oak barriques that enrich the wine with a thousand nuances. In the glass it has a beautiful, particularly intense ruby red colour, with a hint of garnet that suggests it has been aged in wood. On the nose, the notes of ripe red fruit, such as cherries and plums, stand out, but there are also pleasant notes of cocoa and vanilla. In the mouth it is rich and full-bodied. The alcohol is there, and you can feel it, but it is well integrated with the other elements in the taste. The result is a balanced wine that is easy to pair. Especially if there are robust first courses, tasty meats, such as lamb or game, and aged cheeses on the table.
