  • Sensations Color: deep red, enlivened by bright purple reflections. bouquet: intense hints of red fruits, plum jam and black cherry, accompanied by light notes of vanilla and cinnamon. On the palate: soft and enveloping it provides an intense and persistent sip, made lively by a nice acidity.
  • Vinification The must ferments in stainless steel at a controlled temperature for about 1 week. This is followed by a maceration on the skins of about 7 days, which guarantees the complete extraction of color, aroma and the polyphenolic substances they contain. The wine is aged for about 3 months in steel and for a further period in the bottle.

    "Apulo" Primitivo Salento IGT
  • A young red wine, made to be appreciated right away, without having to wait years for it to reach the right aging. The base is pure Primitivo. The processing is in stainless steel at controlled temperature. Maceration on the skins for about 7 days, to obtain the complete extraction of color, aroma and tannins, then an aging of about 3 months in steel. The result is a wine of intense red color, enlivened by bright purple reflections. On the nose it has intense hints of ripe red fruit, plum jam and black cherry. Light, but still present, are the spices that remind of cinnamon. On the palate it reveals itself as a pleasantly soft and enveloping wine. Notes of ripe, juicy red fruit return, with nice concentration and long persistence. However, it does not lack balance. Alcohol and fruit, in fact, in this wine are proportionate to a pleasant basic acidity that makes the wine easy to drink. Even too much so!

    Masseria Altemura is synonym of the Zonin family. The location is in the heart of Apulia, halfway between the Ionian Sea and the Adriatic Sea. A unique place, where nature gives the best of itself, thanks to extremely favorable climatic conditions. Lots of light, fresh breezes and a land dominated by white limestone and red Salento soil. Over 270 hectares of property, of which 130 are vineyards and 40 are olive groves, in a single place, restored with total respect for the environment and the original architecture. Where in the past old vines grew, today there are modern plots of the best native varieties. The new systems, built starting from the year 2000, benefit from a fully eco-sustainable philosophy.
