  • You used to say Prosecco and it was clear to everyone what kind of product you were referring to. Then the production area grew (dramatically) and the two great classifications Prosecco Doc and Prosecco Superiore Docg were born. But this, it was to be expected, is not enough for the true enthusiast. And at the moment, within the Docg zone, studies have been conducted, zoning as the technicians say, to identify the best areas. The result of this study is represented by the "nuoveRive", meaning vineyards that are more impervious and difficult to work in, but where the Glera grape grows better than in any other area of the denomination. And, for companies like Drusian that have vineyards in these prestigious areas, there is now the possibility of indicating it on the label. The grapes used to produce the one proposed here come from Riva Santo Stefano, a handkerchief of land of rare beauty and equally high quality. Drusian picks its grapes when they are perfectly ripe, strictly by hand (it would be impossible otherwise) and subjects them to a long processing that foresees up to 4 months of froth taking in autoclave. It's still Prosecco, of course. But as for quality, it is second to none!

    We are in the greenest and most luxuriant heart of the Prosecco Superiore appellation. In the heart of Valdobbiadene lies the Azienda Agricola di Francesco Drusian, 80 hectares that extend over the best exposed hills, right along the Strada del Prosecco and “Vini dei Colli” in Conegliano Valdobbiadene. A family business now in its third generation. Clearly, there is no lack of tradition. But with time the passion to produce great wines of the land did not diminish either. All of the company's products, about 800,000 bottles a year, are easily recognizable by the same style. From the very fine Valdobbiadene Superiore di Cartizze to the fresh and immediate Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore. No insecticides or pesticides are used in the vineyards. Fertilizers are always organic and not chemical.
