"Artéteca" Vermentino Montecucco DOC 2022

Artéteca, Vermentino Montecucco DOC, is the only white wine produced by the Azienda Agricola Biologica Basile. It comes from a blend of Vermentino, 85%, with Viognier and Petit Manseng. A wine of great pleasure, designed to accompany fish and shellfish dishes, typical of the nearby Tuscan coast. The grapes are harvested by hand, as is always the case in the estate, and are carefully selected and collected in 18 kg crates to avoid damage to the bunches during transport. After a few minutes, the grapes arrive in the cellar where they are sent for vinification. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks, throughout the process the temperature is kept below 18°C to preserve all the goodness of the varietal. This is followed by a quick refinement in the bottle for about 6 months before putting the wine on the market. A fresh and immediate wine, in the glass it has a beautiful straw yellow colour with greenish reflections. The nose is dominated by notes of sweet fruit and flowers. In the mouth, however, it is pleasantly fresh, with a pleasant sensation of fruit reminiscent of the scents perceived previously. A wine that should absolutely be drunk young, to fully enjoy the richness of its finest aromas.
