  • Vinification Maceration on the skins for 15/18 days. Temperature controlled fermentation at 28-30 ?C. Aged for 12 months in wood and at least 6 months in bottle before release.

  • Nizza DOCG is the most important Barbera-based appellation in Piedmont. The production of this wine is allowed in only 18 municipalities around Nizza Monferrato, an area considered particularly suited to the cultivation of Barbera grapes. The one proposed here by Cantina Aresca is therefore rightly the symbolic wine of the company. It is no coincidence that its name is a tribute to Luigi Aresca, one of the two founders of the company, the first to have always believed in the potential of this great grape variety. Traditionally vinified and aged for 12 months in wood, followed by a further 6 months in bottle, this is a wine of great structure and elegance. But above all it is a Barbera with great potential for ageing. Intense ruby red colour, the nose recalls notes of ripe red fruit and tobacco. On the palate it is full-bodied and satisfying. Notes of ripe fruit return, especially cherry, then tobacco and a delicate spicy finish. A wine that is easy to pair with traditional dishes but which can also give great satisfaction if it is uncorked after dinner, while chatting late with some old friends.

    The Aresca Winery is located in Mombercelli, an enchanting area between Monferrato and Langhe. Aresca represents a dream. The one created by brothers Luigi and Piero, back in 1952, who managed to turn a passion into a family business. And since then, three generations have continued the work, giving life to good wines, vintage after vintage, that are deeply linked to their territory of origin. Although the company has changed and expanded over the years, it has never lost sight of its origins.
