A fresh and balanced wine. This is how its producers describe this Ambàce, a 100% Salento IGT white wine. A fine wine from the territory that comes from Fiano (60%) and Chardonnay (40%) grapes. We are in the province of Lecce, in Nardò to be precise. Here, at sea level, the climate is decidedly Mediterranean hot, even arid. Here, 15-year-old vines grow luxuriantly and when the grapes ripen, they are harvested by hand and delicately placed in small crates. In the cellar, vinification is in stainless steel at a controlled temperature, in full respect of the good raw material. Thus we receive in our glasses a white wine characterised by a beautiful clear and lively colour. The nose is clean and enveloping, characterised by a fine aroma of peach and wild flowers. It is the right wine for the summer, for snacks with friends and fish barbecues, perhaps planning the next holiday. In Puglia, of course...
