  • Sensations A beautifully enveloping sip where one recognises the aromas first perceived, an incisive freshness well balanced by a measured softness.
  • Vinification the crushed grapes are subjected to cryomaceration at 10 °C for 4 hours. Subsequently, 20 % of the must is fermented in new Tonneaux at a temperature of 18 - 20 °C, while the remaining 80 % of the must ferments in stainless steel at 14 - 16 °C.

    "Ora" Fiano Terra d'Otranto DOC 2022
  • A Fiano that conquers with its freshness. This is Ora, Terra d'Otranto DOC, produced by Cantina Menhir in Minervino di Lecce. Here the soils are sandy-loamy and rich in limestone. An ideal terroir for Fiano. An elegant personality and Mediterranean character, the grapes used for Ora come from vineyards with an average age of 10 years. Harvesting is manual and is immediately followed by a 4-hour cryomaceration that enhances the varietal aromas of the grapes. Fermentation then takes place in steel, preserving the wine's freshness and fragrance. In the Ora glass, it has a beautiful, luminous straw yellow colour that immediately catches the eye. On the nose, the bouquet is broad, with floral and fruity notes, hints of mandarin and grapefruit peel, almonds and aromatic herbs such as thyme and rosemary. In the mouth, it is fresh and enveloping, with a nice acidity that gives balance and persistence. The finish is long and mineral, with a touch of white pepper. Perfect with fish dishes, shellfish, grilled vegetables and fresh cheeses. Try it with mezze maniche topped with swordfish and capers, or paired with turbot with potatoes.
