    • Sensations With its gorgeous intense golden hue and beautiful bright hues, this wine captivates the eye. The first nose is subtle and opens with hints of dried flowers (rose petals) delicately mixed with peppery notes, revealing a nice freshness. After breathing, some hints of vanilla and candied fruit make their way in to complete a well-developed bouquet. On the palate, the wine is well balanced and supported by a citrus note, confirming the intense freshness found on the first nose. It then proves enchanting and lush, revealing notes of sugary citrus, quince and green tea, amplified by deliciously elegant bubbles characteristic of this wine of power and character. The high percentage of Pinot Noir in the blend gives the wine structure and length, as well as a perfect balance between generosity and elegance.     • This Prestige Cuvée is dedicated to Sir Winston Churchill, the famous British prime minister and a longtime friend of the Maison. Winston Churchill, in addition to being a fine political strategist, was also a great fan of Champagne, particularly bottles endowed with "robustness, full-bodied character and relative maturity." Famous is his phrase, "My tastes are simple, I am easily satisfied with the best." Curiously, Maison Pol Roger does not disclose the exact composition of this Champagne. All that is known is that the base is the more traditional blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The exact proportions, however, remain a closely guarded "family secret." Pinot Noir predominates, providing Champagne with structure, breadth and robustness. Chardonnay, on the other hand, contributes to the whole with elegance and finesse.
