Sangiovese and Merlot from the beautiful Doganella vineyard in Pitigliano. 24 hectares managed according to the strictest dictates of 'organic viticulture, without the use of animal-derived products. We are in the heart of the Tuscan Maremma, and the soil is rich in limestone and tufa of volcanic origin. Ideal conditions for growing quality grapes. The Tintorosso comes from a fermentation of 12 days in steel followed by about 6 months of aging in Slavonian oak barrels. The result is a very pleasant wine, characterized by a beautiful bright ruby red colour. On the nose, intense notes of ripe red berry fruit, subtle floral nuances and touches of sweet spices. In the mouth, finally, it is dry, harmonious, with nice tannins in evidence but still well integrated with all the other components of the wine. Perfect with tasty meat-based first courses, it is also a satisfying accompaniment to simple snacks of cold meats and fresh cheeses.
