"Potenti" Cabernet Sauvignon Toscana IGT 2021

A Cabernet Sauvignon of great power and vigour, Potenti is a red wine made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from a vineyard located in Riotorto. Here the soil is characterised by a balanced relationship between the clay and skeleton component, giving the wine structure and complexity. After all, Cabernet Sauvignon, originally from the Bordeaux region of France, is distinguished by its ability to produce wines with great structure, robust tannins and intense aromas. In this case, the winery's technicians envisage a maturation period of around 12 months in 20% new barriques. This passage in wood gives the wine greater complexity and structure, as well as smoothing out the tannins and making them softer. In the glass it has a concentrated and brilliant ruby red colour. The nose surprises with an intense and complex bouquet of blackberry and blueberry jam, black cherries in syrup, spices, toast, coffee, herbs and balsams. In the mouth it is powerful, voluminous and vigorous, with ripe, round tannins. The finish is fruity, persistent and spicy. Powerful accompanies well-structured meat dishes. Excellent with roasts, braised meats and game. It also goes well with mature cheeses and first courses with meat sauces.
