If we really don't want to give up bubbly, and Prosecco is a bit of a tight fit, this is undoubtedly a bottle to consider. Forchir is one of the most interesting contemporary producers in Friuli. The base is the region's golden grape par excellence, Ribolla Gialla, which lends itself well to being processed still and dry, or to becoming the basis of good sparkling wines. Exactly as in this case. Brut Nature, therefore without added sugar for a super dry and pleasant sip, this wine comes from grapes harvested in the company's vineyards in Codroipo, in the province of Udine. Cold maceration on the skins, soft pressing and fermentation in autoclave in the absence of sulphites. After frothing, the wine remains in contact with its noble lees for about 12 months. The result is a wine characterised by a very fine and persistent perlage and a citrine yellow colour. The nose reveals floral aromas of great freshness. In the mouth, however, it has a dry and fresh taste, with a complex and persistent finish. A perfect wine for the aperitif. But let's not make the mistake of thinking that it is not suitable for the table. Thanks to the very low (or rather zero) dosage, this sparkling wine goes well with fish dishes. Fire up the grill!

As can be seen from bottling register No. 046, Forchir was historically one of the first bottlers in Friuli. Today, after 4 generations of unaltered passion, the company is committed to an oenological project that combines tradition with the modern evolution of technique and taste. It can count on 230 hectares of vineyards located in Camino al Tagliamento, in the Udine area, and in Spilimbergo, in the Pordenone area. The new winery is avant-garde, both in terms of architecture and environmental sustainability. It is totally carbon free and zero-emission. Thanks to the geothermal and photovoltaic systems that guarantee total energy self-sufficiency. In the countryside, the cultivation of the vineyards has a low environmental impact, with full respect for nature.
