The NV Metodo Classico Brut Dubl (made with Greco grapes and aged on the lees for 24 months) has a piquant and sharp quality of beading that goes straight to the nose. The wine is tonic and fresh with just enough fizz and crackle to keep the palate excited and refreshed. There is citrus zest, pear and Golden Delicious apple with a touch of baked bread that adds volume and richness.
Spiced pears, apple tart, grilled lemons and salted nuts on the nose. It's medium-bodied with bright acidity and creamy bubbles. Toasty with saline undertones. Rich and flavorful. Drink now
Creamy, bright and savory, this lovely sparkler opens with aromas of spring blossom, tropical fruit and white stone fruit. The vibrant palate doles out pear, apple and mineral notes alongside crisp acidity and a silky perlage. KERIN O’KEEFE
You have to wait at least 24 months before you can enjoy your first glass of this incredible Campania classic method. The long period of maturation on the lees in the bottle of this pure Falanghina lasts for about two years. Dubl Brut represents the starting point of the Capaldo family's project to enhance the value of Irpina's native vines. Pleasant, fresh and versatile, this sparkling wine reveals a beautiful straw yellow colour of medium intensity. The aromas are immediate and crisp. They recall fresh fruit, and in particular peach, apricot and ripe golden apple, but also chamomile flowers. In the mouth, however, it is fragrant and sincere. It is the ideal wine to start an elegant dinner with class, where fish is alternated in different courses. Excellent if paired with a nice seafood risotto, it is perfect with the classic grilled fish or a tasty fish stew.
There is a subtle fil-rouge that unites everything that has been done at Feudi di San Gregorio since its inception in 1986. It is the desire to make the most of the priceless heritage of indigenous grape varieties of Campania tradition. Starting with Greco, Fiano and Aglianico, the true regional flag bearers. Today the company can count on a total of 300 hectares of vineyards, divided into over 800 plots that differ in altitude, exposure and slopes. A marvellous natural puzzle that perfectly expresses the biodiversity of the territory and is able to give life to extraordinary cru. It is currently one of the leading wineries in Southern Italy, with exports covering more than 50 countries worldwide. The experience gained over the years has therefore led the Capaldo family, who have always been the mind and soul of the company, to decide to explore the winemaking potential of other regions of Italy. This is how the "Tenute Capaldo" project was born, which includes a complex of wineries ranging from DUBL, also from Campania, to Campo alle Comete in Tuscany, passing through Basilisco, an organic winery in Vulture, Ognissole, a biodynamic winery in Puglia, Sirch, in the Colli Orientali del Friuli, and finally FedeGraziani, a small jewel on the slopes of Etna. They all share the same values: to produce wines of excellent quality while respecting their territory.
