"La Corte del Pozzo" Bardolino DOC
  • Gino Fasoli has been collaborating since the 1990s with the Comunità dei Giovani di Bardolino, an important organisation in the area that combines social awareness with protection of the landscape. The grapes of the community grow on a beautiful hill overlooking Lake Garda, where ancient vineyards and olive groves are cultivated organically. This is where Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella are harvested for this fresh Bardolino. Simple and careful vinification, aimed at enhancing the freshness and goodness of this priceless heritage of typical grape varieties. The result is a wine with a lively ruby red colour that invites to be drunk young. On the nose, fruity and floral aromas, reminiscent of wild rose and a bouquet of fresh flowers. In the mouth it is vinous and very satisfying. Perfect, if served slightly chilled, in combination with meat or fish dishes that are not too savoury. It also goes very well with cheese and charcuterie boards.

A healthy environment always pays off. Many of the choices made over the years by Gino Fasoli, a strictly family-run business with solid roots in the fertile Veronese territory, are based on this simple conviction. They have been producing wine since 1925. In 1984 they completed their conversion to the organic regime which then, in 2006, led them to embrace the strict principles of biodynamic viticulture. The commitment of the company's managers has not diminished over the years. Relying on solid foundations of ancient knowledge, they embrace, with enthusiasm, all modern farming techniques that help relive the past. "Our present is but the past of others. And what we are today is inextricably linked to those who came before us."
