Barolo DOCG del Comune di Barolo
  • A Barolo from the municipality of Barolo, produced with grapes harvested from vineyards covering the southern slope of the hillside of the ancient village. Perfect for exposure and soil, these vineyards produce Nebbiolo grapes capable of producing exciting Barolo wines. Rich, powerful yet balanced, they can delight any enthusiast. After the harvest, maceration of the skins lasts for about two weeks and the subsequent maturation takes place in oak barrels for a period of no less than three years. In the glass it is a beautiful ruby red colour, with garnet reflections due to the evolution and aging. The nose is intense, with notes of ripe fruit and underbrush. The mouthfeel is structured and smooth. Long and pleasantly spicy on the finish.

The Cascina Boschetti Gomba farm was founded in 1991 by Sergio Gomba, who still runs it today. From its initial one and a half hectares of property, the estate has grown to its current eleven hectares, most of which are cultivated with Nebbiolo for Barolo and destined for the production of the renowned Barolo Boschetti of which Gomba is the only producer. The Gomba style is ideally placed halfway between tradition and innovation. Its wines are produced with medium length macerations and aging in containers of different sizes and materials. The result is wines that can express great power and elegance. Wines that do not need decades to reach their perfect maturity but that are not afraid to be left in the cellar for a few years waiting for the right occasion to uncork them.
